Peer Advising

Luz Colin

Luz Colin

Hello!! My name is Luz Colin and I’m the Peer Advisor for Social Science students. I’m a senior, fourth year, double majoring in Political Science and Chicano/Latino Studies. SAAS has been a great part of my college life, beginning with Summer Bridge. This is my second year working as a Peer Advisor and I love my job. There’s no greater satisfaction than helping people I can relate to. I will be applying to graduate school in the fall to become a professional academic counselor. I’m very involved with a service organization on campus, which means you’ll also see me on ring road a lot. I hope to get to know everyone of you and I encourage you to take advantage of all the opportunities our campus offers. Be proud to be an Anteater, zot, zot, zot!!

Debbie Lee

Debbie Lee

My name is Debbie and I am a 3rd year majoring in Criminology, Law and Society. My career goal is to be part of a government agency (FBI, CIA, Interpol, etc), but I am here for all of you, not just criminology majors. I lived on campus my first year in Middle Earth (Rohan!), and was a member of the UCI Cheer Squad (Div. I) in 2007. This past summer I served as a Resident Advisor for the Summer Bridge program and participated in the Student/Parent Information Workshop! I recently just returned from studying criminology classes at Cambridge University (England) for Summer Session 2. Traveling abroad was a rewarding experience and I encourage all of you to do it too! My current involvements on campus include a co-ed service fraternity and SAAS. I'm excited to meet everyone, and I am here to share my experiences to make sure you have a successful start at UCI because SAAS helped me a lot. Trust me, you picked the best school. If you have questions or want to talk to someone, please feel free to email me at deborahl@uci.edu.
