SAAS Information Workshop

The SAAS Information Workshop is a free one day event for students and their parents to address any concerns they may, and to receive in-depth information about our program and university life. The date of the workshop is Saturday, June 28, 2008.

Some Questions You May Have:

How do I get free tutoring at UCI to help maintain my high GPA?

What assistance will the SAAS counselors and Peer Advisors provide while monitoring my academic success?

Who will help me with my academic, financial aid, or housing questions?

What student activities are available for me at UC Irvine?

What expectations will my University Professors have of me?

How do I pick a major and career when so many options are available?

This workshop does not replace the Student Parent Orientation Program (SPOP). The Student Academic Advancement Services (SAAS) workshop is designed to introduce and educate you and your parents to the free services provided by the SAAS Program over your four year stay at U.C. Irvine. In addition to receiving this valuable information, you will have the opportunity to meet with UCI faculty, staff, and students who can answer many of your other questions. We encourage parents to attend this workshop, and information in Spanish, Chinese, Korean, or Vietnamese is available. Parking is free, but you must RSVP.
