2008 Summer Bridge at UCI Application Checklist

____ Complete and submit a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by Friday, May 2, 2008, for the 2007-2008 academic year. List UC Irvine to receive the Student Aid Report. Comment: This is critical. You likely already have submitted a FAFSA and have received a Student Aid Report for the 2008-2009 academic year. Summer Bridge Financial Aid Awards come out of 2007-2008 funds; hence a separate FAFSA for 2007-2008 is required. You must submit the 2007-2008 FAFSA by Friday, May 2, 2008, in order to be considered for selection to Summer Bridge.

____Send in your positive “Statement of Intent” to UC Irvine by the May 1, 2008, deadline.

____Plan to take the UC Analytical Writing (Subject A) Placement Test on Saturday, May 10, 2008. Comment: We need this result in order to place you in the correct Writing class. Check http://www.testingcenter.uci.edu/analyticalWrting.html for additional information.

____Plan to take the UCI “Math Analysis” placement test and any placement tests required by your major during Summer Bridge on Saturday, June 28, 2008. Comment: Summer Bridge students receive priority class registration for their freshman year! Academic Advising is part of Summer Bridge, and we will need placement test results for you to register ahead of other freshmen for fall quarter classes. ____ If you plan to live on-campus during the regular school year, submit your housing application by the May 1, 2008, deadline.
